Introduction

Hi, I’m Chris and I’m passionate about maths, I am a fully qualified maths teacher. I have an Honours degree in Maths and Computing as well as a Post Graduate Certificate in Education.

I am a committed and experienced maths tutor, with a proven track record of improving students’ exam performance.

‘A’ level maths

I have 5 years of experience in teaching and tutoring ‘A’ level and L3 Core maths, covering AQA, Edexcel and OCR exam boards. I pay particular attention to improving students’ ability to answer questions as well as their calculator skills. Effective use of the calculator in ‘A’ level exams is critical to optimising a candidate’s exam performance.

GCSE

I teach both Foundation and Higher Maths GCSE, my former students have all experienced significant improvements in their exam performance following tuition. A sample of my students’ feedback is shown below.

iGCSE

I have prepared numerous students for the iGCSE exam, so I’m very familiar with the iGCSE syllabus.

Following careers in the military and policing I undertook Initial Teacher Training (ITT) as a maths teacher. I now have 5 years of teaching and tutoring experience.

An excellent academic record.

I hold a Masters Degree in Information Technology Security; a Post Graduate Certificate in Education; and an Honours Degree in Maths and Computing. At ‘A’ level I achieved 4 ‘A’ grades, as well as passing the Imperial College Scholarship exam.

Following initial teacher training I gained Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
